Confined Space Rescue Teams

With internal training and a bi-annual recertification of both our Confined Space Rescuers and Confined Space Attendants, Natt can control the quality of rescue teams that are coming on site. 

Do you know how our rescue teams are trained?

Beyond Confined Space Rescue and Attendant training, our teams are also trained on the following courses:

  • Confined Space Entry & Awareness
  • Working at Heights
  • Standard First Aid (all rescuers, most attendants)
  • WHMIS
  • Ministry of Labour – 4 Step
  • AODA
  • Lock-Out Tag-Out

Our 1-Day Confined Space Attendant Training Includes:

  •  Legislation, regulations and standards
  • Confined space permits
  • Principles of air monitoring

Our 3-Day Confined Space Rescue Technician Training meets and exceeds the NFPA standards. Participants are trained in one of our in-house confined space simulators. The course includes topics such as:

  • Regulations, legislation and standards
  • First aid refresher, including mobilization and transportation techniques
  • Safety principles
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Secondary/back-up planning and execution
  • Incident command
  • IDLH (immediately dangerous to life or health)
  • SCBA Donning and Doffing
  • Equipment set-up, anchorage planning, maintenance and inspection
  • Post fall rescue, suspension trauma
  • Onsite emergency situations and events
  • Mock rescue scenarios (approximately 20 scenarios throughout the course
  • NFPA standards
